Gay Pride for all genders and colors

During the first weekend of June in a small Italian town, Alessandria, the first Gay Pride took place.
Thousands of super happy people gathered in the city centre, with drag queens, colorful floats and above all big signs mentioning solidarity and love for everyone.
This Pride showed that we cannot focus only on gender diversity: the message was whole inclusiveness, which means that everyone is to be respected as she/he is.
There were singles and couples, citizens, migrants and families: from the house windowpans people looked at the pride parade, the noise and “provocative” parade. An old woman said, from her balcony: “ I cannot come down but I love you”, a true expression of solidarity, openness and welcome.
We hope it is just the beginning!
